Portfolio AcuraMedia Launch
Scope of Work:
Acura was looking for a city to introduce the 2004 Acura TL to national and international media. They were torn between Seattle, Manhattan and Washington DC. Seattle Hospitality was called upon to help secure Seattle as the destination. Our extensive knowledge of the city proved invaluable for this process. Subsequently, Seattle Hospitality was chosen to manage the onsite logistics of their Media Launch.
Program Highlights:
- Assisted in designing routes in and around the Puget Sound area to incorporate road surface variations, elevation changes and switchback road handling.
- Provided hotel recommendations that had appropriate space for the detailing of vehicles and quick access to the freeway.
- Located special equipment including generators and floating barges for vehicle transport.
- Selected unique venues that fit Acura’s vision of the ideal location to showcase the vehicle’s exterior and interior technological abilities while ensuring each venue could meet the challenges of accommodating vehicles in their space.
The Result:
The program was such a success that Acura returned two months later to initiate a similar launch.
